Yellowstone National Park - Fishing Cone

POSTCARD 4301       [last updated 05-13-2009]

I have five distinct views of Postcard 4301.

Differences to the front:
People wearing different clothes, position of person (??man in HHT 2 or woman in HHT 1, 3 & 4 and NPR-YPL??) on the left different
Title in different location, in a different font, and the number is separated from the title on HHT 2 compared to HHT 1, 3 & 4 and NPR-YPL
     HHT 2 much lighter in color than HHT 1, 3 & 4 and NPR-YPL

Differences to the back:
Title and description in a different font on HHT 2 when compared with HHT 1, 3 & 4 and NPR-YPL
HHT 2 has 'FOR CORRESPONDENCE' added above the title and description
HHT 1, 3 & 4 and NPR-YPL has a line below the description and 'THIS SPACE FOR MESSAGE' added
HHT 1 description exactly the same as HHT 3 description but with different word spacing
NPR-YPL description different than HHT 1, 3 & 4 - mentions Fishing Cone instead of Fish Pot and the fishing is good!
NPR-YPL and HHT 4 has the added marketing text, "The Way to See Yellowstone Park Go 'In Gardiner Gateway; Out Cody' Nature's Climax Comes Where It Should" unlike all others
NPR-YPL and HHT 4 has the NPR logo lower left with 'Form 5616' center bottom unlike all others
NPR-YPL dividing line plain unlike the other HHT views with arrow and guy at top

Earliest Postmark:
HHT Co. Type 1 - None
HHT Co. Type 2 - None
HHT Co. Type 3 - None
     NPR-YPL - June 30, 1924
HHT Co. Type 4 - None

Other remarks:
     Very similar to postcard 4509
NPR-YPL says 'cooked in a few seconds' while the others say 'cooked in a few minutes' ... ?
