I have three distinct views of Postcard HSCYP.
Differences to the front: Photo and title lettering a lighter gray on H2, brown on H 1 H 3 has a white border with 'Haynes Photo ... Made in Germany' at right unlike H 1 & 2 with text at bottom left Differences to the back: Lettering for POST CARD and address line in green on H 2, brown on H 1 H 1 & 2 are undivided while H 3 is a divided back Earliest Postmark: Haynes Type 1 - July 5, 1905 Haynes Type 2 - June 29, 1905 Haynes Type 3 - ?????? 22, 1909 Other remarks: I have two magic lantern slides (65 [Type 1] and 55), a lantern slide print (65 [Type 3]), a photo (4157), a book (Y-SP), and a sterling spoon of this view A magic lantern slide (65 [Type 2]) and stereoview (4596) are very similar to this view but look carefully at the feet and fishing pole positions Need to determine the publisher and if this postcard has a number One of the few views that shows the fish actually in the geyser water Look at magazine HW or book YNP-TWW for some unique artist's rendering of these two fishermen |
